Can we drink water on Karwachauth if we are unmarried?

Guys, it's my first Karwachauth for my fiance. I am a bit scared cuz I have never gone without drinking water for this long, mostly because it causes dehydration to me. Can anyone tell if we are allowed to drink water for an emergency?
