Changes after wedding

This is for all the married folks out there. So I have always been curious. Is it really all flowers and candle light dates even after the wedding? I have heard a lot of my married friends tell me that everything changes drastically and things tend to slow down no matter how good your relationship has been in the past. Is there any truth to this notion? Or it is a subjective thing that may or may not be true for each and every individual.
