Damaads in the family treated like someone next to God😕

I really don't understand this concept as to why Damaads are given so much extra attention and respect! Like the Bahus aren't treated and looked at with the same respect in their Sasurals in general! Yaa right? So unfair right? Like why to keep them damaads at a pedestal🙄 What's your take on this girls?
