Hindi movie industry or Bollywood has completed more than 100 years of its journey.

Indian movie production comprises of South India and other Indian film industries. It is the world's largest movie production industry by number of films produced.

According to wiki, In 2017, Indian cinema produced 1,986 feature films. Bollywood is its largest filmmaker, producing on an average 364 Hindi films the same year.

Raja Harishchandra produced by Dadasaheb Phalke is often considered the first full-length Indian feature film.

And Saraswati Devi, was one of the first Indian music directors and score composers who worked in Hindi cinema in the 1930s.

AR Rahman

He was born as Dileep Kumar and is a popular figure in the Bollywood movie industry. In 2009 composer A.R. Rahman was honored with two Oscars for his song Jai Ho.
