How to convince my partner for an intimate wedding?

I always wanted a small intimate wedding with very very close family and friends but my partner wants a full Karan Johar’s movie type of wedding with 10 grand functions. Whenever we discuss about the wedding planning, we end up having an argument. What should I do in this case?

I can totally understand what you're going through. My friend also faced the same issue. Only you and your partner together can solve this problem. In their case they opted for 5 functions with grand entry and decor but kept the guest limited as per the bride's wish.
