How to politely say no to your fiance when he invites you over for lunch?

I love him, I do. But, I really wanted to spend some time with my college friends this weekend. How can I politely say no to him? He really wants me to come over for lunch but I want to pass it on this time around without sounding like a push over.

Err... well, just tell him that you had a plan for a long time. He will understand. Besides, getting married also comes with compromises. So, don't worry this happens to the best of us.
