Is Setting a Dress Code Rude?

I always wanted my closest friends to dress alike at my wedding. But, I don't know if asking them to follow a dress code would come across as rude?

I was planning to invite a very select group of family and friends. I am planning to add this information about dress code, on my wedding invitations itself. What do you think about this gesture or rather request? Would you be offended by it? Offending anyone is the last thing I want to do! Smiley ups

    Let me assure you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting your girlfriends to dress alike on your big day. I say it is a great way to show them how important they are to you! Smiley heart


    And, as for mentioning the dress code on your wedding invitation, perhaps politely mention the colour coding. Something like,

    "Hey guys, I cannot wait for you all to bless our marriage and share our happiness. But, the one thing that will make it even better is if all my girlfriends come dressed in red and the men look like a knight in black"


    Why don't you frame something and share it with me instead? We'll see how we can tweak it to make it sound even sweeter? Smiley smile
