Noida!? Safe enough place for girls or not??

I had a horrible experience last night. I was travelling back to my hometown and I was catcalled and then got followed by 4 shady looking men!! I somehow managed to get myself out of that situation. My boyfriend was somewhere close by only so he came out to help within no time! Had he not been there, I don't even want to start imagining what all could have happened!!! Gosh!! Has anyone been through any similar situation?
