I think both options can work well depending on the guest count, budget, and how much involvement the family wants during the event. For larger functions, having food arranged professionally can definitely reduce a lot of stress. I also like browsing ideas for feeding a crowd when planning gatherings, especially when there are many guests to consider.

I personally prefer a buffet for most weddings because it gives guests more flexibility. Everyone has different tastes and dietary preferences, so it's nice when people can choose exactly what they want and how much they'd like to take. A well-organized buffet with a good mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options usually works really well. I also enjoy browsing event catering ideas whenever I'm helping plan celebrations, as it often leads to creative menu combinations. Wishing you all the best with your wedding planning!

If your guest list includes people with different food preferences, I'd personally lean towards a buffet. It gives everyone the freedom to choose what they like and usually reduces food waste as well. A well-organized buffet can still feel elegant if it's presented nicely. I've also picked up some great wedding catering ideas while planning family events, and having a good variety always seems to make guests happier. Wishing you the best with your wedding planning!

Both options have their advantages, but I personally prefer a buffet because it offers guests more variety and the freedom to choose their favorite dishes . A well-planned buffet always creates a more enjoyable dining experience.

I like how you explained the pros and cons of both options. It depends on the type of event and budget.

    Both have merits and demerits:
In the catering system that's usually called per plate the host has to just pay and leave all tensions to the caterers. This suits best for families with less on ground supporting members or less space and time. It's cost is more. In the self arranged system you jabe to deal with cooks and get all stuff arranged. On ground family members are needed to take care of this part responsibly and also time and spce is neede.
But this one is far more cheaper in cost than the first one.
