The wedding I want v/s the one my parents want

We always dreamt of having an October wedding because that is when we met for the first time four years ago. We live in Delhi but want a destination wedding due to the fact that we only want to share this special day with people who have always been with us through the thick and thin of life. However, recently when our families started seeing each other frequently, they seemed to have a different set of expectations. The first one being a long list of at least 200-250 guests. They even want us to change the prospective day of the wedding, one that is more aligned to the stars and Nakshatras. We have tried to convince them that our dream is October and a close wedding but they don't seem to care, any suggestions on what to do?
