I need advice regarding an issue with a wedding venue. After two months of planning and finalizing details with their decorator, we secured the venue by paying ₹50,000. However, a few days later, the venue manager informed us that the venue had been booked by a company for six months, and they can no longer accommodate my wedding.
In addition to the booking amount, I incurred extra expenses, as my fiancée and her brother traveled to inspect the venue after we finalized it. Could you advise on how to proceed and whether the venue is liable to reimburse the booking amount and additional expenses?
