We want a wedding that is fun and reflects our style as a couple. We always have a lot of fun together and we would want that reflected throughout our wedding. Our top priority is our guests and that they enjoy themselves and feel comfortable. For Amanda's family and friends, this may be their first trip to India, so we are very invested in everyone having an inclusive experience. We are looking for a wedding with no religious aspects since neither of us are religious. We see the theme of our wedding as modern minimalism with vibrant accents and textured blooms that are local to South India. More specifically this would look like: *A clean and modern aesthetic with clean lines, simple décor, and a focus on creating a spacious and airy feel. *Pops of color: using the colors orange, yellow, pink, and red in florals that exhibit a playful energy. We’d like the flowers to be used sparingly and strategically to add pops of color throughout the venue. This is also able to highlight the natural beauty of South India and our venue. We want our décor to ultimately compliment and not compete with the environment. For the table décor/centerpieces we’d like single blooms with interesting texture as the focal point. The flowers would be in bud vases in neutral colors, so it adds to the clean and modern look. If possible (depending on cost and the venue’s rules), we’d like to consider adding pillar candles or votives for a touch of warmth and romanticism. We’d like to have flowers that are local to South India. We would like to definitely have marigolds and jasmine. *Warm candlelight and soft lighting: to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, we want to incorporate candles and soft lighting (when possible) throughout the venue. We think this will complement the modern minimalist feel.
