Do you let your kids play online games?

Now everyone is sharply divided into two camps - some are strongly against it, and some are the opposite. What do you think?

Letting kids play online games can be a positive experience when it’s handled with care and balance. Many parents allow online gaming because it helps children develop problem-solving skills, teamwork of mvvmhabit , and digital confidence, especially when games are age-appropriate and time limits are set. Open communication is key—parents who talk with their kids about online safety, respectful behavior, and privacy can reduce risks while still letting their children enjoy the social and entertainment benefits of online games.

I do let my kids play online games, but I always keep an eye on what they’re playing and for how long. I noticed that if I sit with them, I get a better idea of the games and it’s easier to talk about what’s good or risky. There are some games out there where you can join from anywhere, and some even reflect traditions or specific cultures, which makes it sort of interesting for both kids and adults to see how technology updates old-school stuff.

Yes, why not, but the time should be limited, for an hour at least. Some games can be very useful

Sorry for bumping into an old conversation, but I wanted to share my two cents. Personally, I let my kids play online games, but with some ground rules in place. Also, it's all about the type of game and how it's used. Some games can indeed have a negative impact, while others can be educational and fun.
