How to not get Hustled !?!

I live in the UK and will be doing a destination wedding in Kerala, I am worried that vendors and resorts will give me "special" soaring prices as I am not local and from foreign.


What can I do to avoid this?

Is it likely they will charge double/triple?

I have family in Chennai who can help also, but I am worried they will increase price.


Please help, it will be much appreciated!

    Hi,

    Thank you for replying. I am not too concerned about vendors but more about venues/hotels who will increase venue and food rates because I am not local. I may get cheaper rate if I go via a local wedding planner. I have not booked anything yet, I am at the very beginning of wedding planning!

    Hey, I think having a transparent conversation with the vendors will make your wedding planning easy and stress free. You can always negotiate when it comes to higher prices. But, this should not happen though. What all vendors have you booked so far?
