Starting a new phase of life is not that easy as it takes truckloads of efforts and initiatives to make the big day a memorable one! And, I get the point where you want to lay a groundwork for how you want the day to look. When we know who made our wedding dress, where our jewellery came from? We realise that we are a part of something bigger!

Why don’t you make a proper itinerary or blueprint of the whole setup and then show it your in-laws and parents? I am sure they will understand your feelings and legit points. Or,

You and your fiancé can plan a day out with both the parents and blow out each and everything which will take place in the wedding functions! ^_^

You’re so thoughtful and by willing to opt for a conscious wedding you’ll be giving back to our environment and making sure that there’s less carbon footprint. Both your parents will see these efforts and appreciate the way you both have shaped up with their upbringing.
